Alison Savage, LPCC-S
“Connection is the antidote to the isolation that trauma creates. Through connection, we find safety, support, and the possibility of healing.” - Deb Dana
With over 20 years of experience as a therapist, leader, trainer, and consultant, Alison is dedicated to helping individuals unlock their fullest potential by combining the neuroscience of Polyvagal Theory with practical, actionable strategies for personal healing and growth. Her approach is grounded in the belief that true healing begins with a sense of empowerment: by understanding how the nervous system functions, people can create lasting change and build resilience.
Alison specializes in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, and is currently in training to obtain her Somatic Experiencing credential (SEP). Alison individualizes her approach based on what each person needs, but incorporating the latest neuroscience research to provide a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection is central to every approach. This perspective allows clients to recognize dysregulation in their system and move into a more settled, safe, regulated state of being.
With a compassionate, strengths-based approach, Alison helps each person discover their innate capacity for growth, connection, and safety. She is passionate about providing tools that foster long-term well-being, empowering clients to thrive. Through neuroscience-informed techniques, Alison offers practical solutions that promote resilience, emotional regulation, and lasting transformation.
Whether clients are navigating difficult emotions, healing from traumatic and/or overwhelming life experiences, or simply seeking a more balanced, fulfilling life, Alison is committed to guiding them toward embodiment and meaningful change.
